Greta Thunberg: True activist OR extremely misleading rhetoric

Recently Meeting of UN conference showcase a young girl from Sweden who is a self-established Climate Change Activist who is just 16 years old. Greta a young girl who wants to change the world so far her efforts seems genuine with her strong message at the UN. However, asking a meaningful or intelligent question regarding the young activist intention is neither ill-intended nor should it be taken in bad spirit. Our ability to question things makes us humans a great species. And sometimes one must ask the question no matter how cynical it sounds. 

 The title of this article  one can either agree or disagree with it. But, its a valid question and needs to asked specially in today's era of digital connectivity, viral videos etc.

This Article either there is an intent to spoil the young activist's image nor it is intended to promote her. Its a free would most of us though out the world exercise our right for freedom of speech and ideas. However, we must understand that she raises quite a few eyebrows and some questions need to be answered related to her intent and motivation. 

Background:

Greta Thunberg is a 16-year-old teen girl from Sweden who is a climate change activist. She claims that she first got introduced to the concept of climate change 2011 when she was only 8 years old by the age of 11 she felt depressed and helpless in regards to what little is done to save our home planet. So far she had met many world leaders and took a voyage in a zero-emission boat and hold large protest etc.

Recently, She told the world leaders in UN submit "You have stolen my childhood and my dreams with your empty words," and also she highlighted "You're failing us, but young people are starting to understand your betrayal. The eyes of all future generations are upon you. And if you choose to fail us, I say we will never forgive you," her speech seemed true and genuine. . No matter how concerned and genuine her approach might are right now. However, it seems like she went bit too much over-board

Some call her a concerned young girl while there some who doubt her intentions. One can be on either side of the argument might have valid points to support her. This doesn't stop the fact that only achievement she has so far is to give a highly emotional speech with no concrete solution for the problem of global warming just a passionate angry speech from a teen from Sweden blaming the world for a problem.

She called money and economical gains as "Fairy tales" like any other climate change activist she made the same cliche.

At this point what she says is merely a mix of strong emotions and appeal to the masses and anger towards world leaders.

Some say she might be collecting millions of dollars annually for her cause of climate change. However till now at this point, there was no evidence of it which was available so far which proved it.

But her rhetoric is fueled with uncontrolled rage and emotions, no doubt her commitment appears to be strong but there was no practically viable solution of insight were given by her till now. As far as you can tell she might want to help the planet but so far she has no substance or ideas that might help us in attaining sustainable development. 

Her way out to the problem seems like going back to the dark ages and this extreme emotional rhetoric sounds good but doesn't work well on the ground. 

THINGS that GRETA never discuss

One of the most accepted solution to this imbalance of Carbon emissions are increasing green cover by afforestation and conservation of forests and marine ecosystems alike and minimal to no use of plastics and using biodegradable alternative which could go through 3 R (recycle reuse and reduce) process. Trees, plants, and algae along with Phytoplankton are an essential part of the ecosystem which absorbance excess CO2 from the atmosphere through photosynthesis and are also an important part of the food chain. For example, marine life is highly dependent on Phytoplanktons and its population.

Conclusion:

However only time will tell her real intent and her commitment. So far her views should not be taken for face value. Future turn of events will show surely help us in understand her plans. One thing is for sure she generate news around the world. Her views should be heard and analyzed but neither she should be neither criticized for it nor should it be taken too seriously at point in time. Presently, it would be premature to conclude that her objective to be noble or something misleading. In future we will know for about the complete Greta Story.
